Jew Cult & Ancient Egypt

Many Judean seals contain Egyptian iconography, demonstrating considerable cultural influence in the 8th century BCE. It is particularly intriguing that at this time we find the adoption of the winged scarab by the royal administration. This is already well known from the lmlk jar seal impressions. Hezekiah’s stamp seal, the only authentic Judean royal seal found to date, also depicts the winged scarab.
